I am the echo

Postby PHILIPPE » 07 Dec 2010, 17:55

Blessings to All - I have been reading Thomas Berry and Brian Swimme lately, such wonderful storytellers of the universe in all its beauty and creativity, and this came to mind:

I am the echo
Of a deep
Primordial
Scream

The after-thought
Of a reverberating
Dream

Mountains
Lakes
Forests
Gather
In the palm
Of my hands

O thy folly!
A red dragon
Breathing life
Into splintering
Supernovas

Rest in peace
My fellow traveller
You are blessed!

Above you
Circles
The golden eagle
Of yesteryear

Share my pain
Spread my joy

Look -Look into the sun!

Today unfolds
In the shadow of
Tomorrow

Thank you for your kind words. Thomas Berry is such a towering figure, in the tradition of Teilhard de Chardin. I highly recommand 'The Great Work', a book he wrote in 1999. Brian Swimme is a physicist, has worked with T.Berry and has written a wonderful book called 'the Universe is a Green Dragon'. Very inspiring reading, truly.
