A Poem for Imbolc

Postby LuisV » 01 Feb 2011, 23:17

Inspired by one of the folkloric legends regarding the Cailleach and Bride, as well as making a comparison between that story and the Legend of Snow White, I was inspired to pen the following short prose today, as an offering to Brighid and in honor of the timeless Cycles of Myth and Story-telling. A blessed Imbolc to all!

"Bride, Lady of Triune Flame,
Vernal Maiden, Budding Dame.
Beneath Black earth rise and form,
Red Rose dawns in iv'ry storm.
Arise Snow White, say farewell,
To wicked Queen's wintry spell."
