the door part 2

Postby Crimson Stormfire » 18 Feb 2011, 18:51

I stand before
a free standing door.
In the center
of the eye of the storm.

sunlit from the front
moonlit from the back
it is an unremarkable thing
just standing there
in the calm center.

no markings does it claim
no handle nor knob does it wear
to no hinges or anchor is it bound.
it stands stoic in the calm of the storm.

I opened it once before
knowledge and wisdom
from it poured
i entered its gate once before
and knew
peace of spirit.

I closed the door.
I turned from it
and walked away.
the storms gathered
and I was lost in the winds
years gone by in a flash

I searched for it
it was lost in the rage fury
of the turmoil.
i was searching
for the wrong reasons
to escape what i had wrought
without coming to understand it
or deal with it.
the door was lost.

I have come to terms
i have been through
my own cauldron built
by my own hands.
I have been reborn anew
an amalgamation of
old and new.

and now in the peace of the eye
of the raging storms i have again found
that unremarkable door.
I want to open it.
I know how to open it.
I can open the door now
Great wolf spirit guide me
in my new journeys when i
open the unfound door.
