Bottle of Worm

Postby Romelia » 22 Feb 2011, 22:47

Feel the judder...
feel the earth
convulse and retch
coughing up the black
and bloody fetid crap.
On a veiled horizon
bearing over the
the mounting fear,
squats a beast
with bare boned wings
wildly cast about
in the acrid breeze;
they grind
beating above
grinning skulls,
n brittle bones…..

...All in my head;
a strange place,
a dessert at times,
but tonight a blaze of wild fire…
how nice.
But spite that worm at the bottles bottom
I retch each doubled shot,
I wince a squint
it tastes like sh*t...
one of life’s little diamonds of delight.
Try it and see the agony a while
flex a wry smile!
But don’t taint it
keep it straight,
and
never try and tame it.

Rendered and surrendered,
a fading smile
lifted by broken wings
in the pale of the putrid night.
Beneath
moon bleached bone
sparkles and glistens,
night lays frozen
silence descending from the heavens….

...You think me insane!
well friend
maybe that’s the case,
but you’ll be the same with a heart rich in waste,
first shots a bastard
the rest you’ll just take
coz it kills the blind seething pain.
Now sit down,
and ill let you count each furrow when I frown,
ill share by bottle of worm
we’ll retch together,
late into the choking night,
ashtray piled high,
a blanket of purple haze...
and we will raise our dirty glasses
to the wicked and the slain.

Softly ill whisper of angels and mortality,
of poems that ill not remember
come the morning light.
You’ll know when it draws near
coz you’ll feel like you wanna die,
the world will move too fast
time travel a thing of the past…
it never lasts
never does,
but you’ll wannit to,
when tomorrow you’ll look at that shity bottle
like some long lost precious jewel.

The earth holds a shuddered breath
angles weep blind,
faces echo pain of a thousand worlds.
Crystal tears
shatter,
as they hit the frozen ground
unyielding,
a delicate sound
breaking the silence,
breaking the hearts fragile crown.
Consciousness slowly ebbs
and falls away
like wet clay in the rain.
