The maddeningly red
midnight sun rises
as the blazing red
daystar sets the sky afire
in hues of red.
Dusky purples,
smokey oranges
fiery reds streak
the sky of twilights
the last icy gasp of wind
has given way to promises
of warm days and cool summer nights.
but the storms of change must be weathered first
as promised in the sky
this twilight.
