A Few Recent Poems

Postby SilverLeaf » 26 Mar 2011, 03:28

I have been writing more frequently. I used to write a lot in my teen years and there was a long period of healing and understanding and I felt no need to write. As of late I feel as though I am evolving in all sorts of ways and there is need again to write more frequently! :yay: I hope those of you who read these few enjoy them. Thank you for reading!

Blessings,
SilverLeaf

Jade Dragon

She whispers through canopy trees
The sweet song of sanctuary
Silvery tunes of secrets
The emerald hollow
Within a collage of sweet smells
The green at my fingertips
I hear her join me
In this shadowy meadow
Jade is her name
Dragon is her place
Let her sing you home

(I wrote Jade Dragon with a topic in mind before hand. I felt the mystery of the dragon and the forest. Secrets and treasures in this hidden beautiful place. Her song (or her words) gentle and alluring).

Mother Winter

Tis the season once more
To greet Mother Winter at the door
Her breathe chill and crisp
Sweeping land and sea with a balletic wisp

It is time now for rebirth
Deep within the remedial earth
She paints a magnificent canvas of white
Bringing to us all a new glistening light

In a few months mind
We are given time to unwind
She brings us together round the burning fire
Telling kindred stories until we tire

Maintain lightness of heart
For we are all one part
As we walk infinity we unfold and change
With this follows new age

The winter tide is here
Embrace thee with cheer
Tis the season once more
To greet Mother Winter at the door

(I was hearing so many poor comments about winter and have always felt a connection to this season. I was inspired to write something beautiful about winter and share it with others!)

Laine

Blessed be says I
As the Night rolls across the fur of the hills

Whisper among the Stellar skies
Sleep endlessly in Love

Blessed be says I
Walk this path Laine at our feet

For together we will See; says I

(This poem was written in a very deep meditative state. I felt as though I was being or about to be shown something by a guide and was compelled to write. Laine I came to find out later that it means "light" in french. At the time of writing this I was unaware and felt that it was quite appropriate. I just thought I was spelling something wrong :P I felt as though I was traveling grassy hills beneath a moonlit sky at peace and in love with my surroundings)

These are some beautiful poems, Silverleaf :) Really liked Jade Dragon. The way you describe the "silvery tunes of secrets" was very creative.
The trees reach out as silent witnesses always willing to listen to your troubled heart. Nature offers her ears to anyone who speaks into the omnipotant silence. There are places that wait for you. You are loved....you are wanted....you are cared for. You are not alone.....you are not alone.....you have never been alone.
