That door....

Postby Crimson Stormfire » 25 Apr 2011, 17:10

There i see them
by the unfound door,
a wolf and a dragon,
a lady and a shadow.

the lady beckons,
the shadow warns,
the dragon knows,
the wolf sees.

that door,
that unfound door,
shimmering in the rocks.
the light from the lady,
the shade of the shadow,
the knowledge of the dragon,
the guidance of the wolf.

here in the paths of shade and shadow,
the guardians of the unfound door stand.
offering warnings and welcomes
a quandary of contradictions.
do i dare open it?
or do i stand and ponder it?
neath the waterfall
under the stone arch.
the beginning of a new journey
i have but to decide
to take a step.

What are you waiting for? Don't be a chicken! Go for it!!! **laughs out loud** Just kidding  :-)

"here in the paths of shade and shadow,
the guardians of the unfound door stand.
offering warnings and welcomes
a quandary of contradictions."

Knowledge is power. "With great power comes great responsibility." ~Stan Lee. This is what came to me when reading the lines you wrote above. I really loved the way you put "offering warnings and welcomes." You really brought out the moment of indecision/hesitation very well. The unknown can be alluring and scary at the same time. To be honest, it seemed as if you were writing more from a place of experience.
I think the guardians were intriguing. I don't know how you see them, but for me I think on a subconscious level they are deeper, more elusive manifestations of ourselves. I think they all reside within us.

I enjoyed the depth of your writing. I think it may speak differently to each individual. I can't help but feel I have not grasped it entirely despite having read it about four times. Blessings! Have a good day.

You are loved....you are wanted....you are cared for. You are not alone.....you are not alone.....you have never been alone.

thank you! I am so glad that my words can touch, even in this digital form....now whenever i get a web-mic thingy i may record them.......

much of what i write is for the one who reads it..your individual meanings and interpretations though they may vary from one person to the next are not false..you will gain {if anything} what you need from them, where as someone else may pass it a glance and say "oy yipper thats good one" and move on without a second glance.....
and as for not having grasped the whole thing..maybe theres a lesson you need buried in it...but you dont need it yet......also there are 2 others about the door if you havent read them yet...

:D again thank you!

I haven't seen them yet. I will search. You like doors, eh? ...lol Have you ever been to Europe and seen some of the older castle doors? I fell in love with them when I was there. The achitecture was beautiful! And the ancient sites were breath taking. I love stone circles and hope to go to Orkney one day. They have a lot of wild life and ancient sites. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prehistoric_Orkney I love Scotland. I always think to myself, I'm going to marry me a Scot one day that smells of the land and sea...lol Talk about a majical place! The energy in the highlands is so clean and other worldly. Sorry, didn't mean to waffle or change the topic. Have a good day, CS!
