Too much suffering

Postby Muddy Fox » 01 Oct 2011, 00:13

This day is a bad day,
Suffering all around
Where are you God?

Prayer books in hospital chapels
Filled with beseeching comments
God help me,please God help me

Heavy aching bodies
Trapped by heavy aching minds
Doctor help me, please Doctor help me

The young and beautiful
With everything to live for
Friend help me, please friend help me

The tired and lonely
Going the course
Spirit help me, spirit please help me

Where to God, Doctor, friend and spirit?
Over the horizon
Away from the horror

To the homelands
Rest easy , love well
Rest easy, rest easy

God,all encompassing being
Peace be with you
At the invocation of Angels all is well.

To the Father, all encompassing being, Son, Holy Spirit and Divine mother
Grant us, your peace on this night
That we shall ever stay within your shelter

God, all encompassing be with you, all that suffer.

Greetings,
Well written. When I was younger I never had the answer to all the suffering in the world. Now in my middle years I have come to know balance. In that yes I am aware of all the suffering I hear on the news, both natural and man-made, but I keep in mind all the positive stuff I see as well.

Thanks Druwyn, despite some of my posts, I am on the whole quite a positive person. I wrote that piece on the day that one of my daughter's friends, who is only 16 years old, was diagnosed with MS.
And I had also accompanied a gentleman that I worked for to hospital that day. And I had gone to sit in the hospital chapel whilst I waited for him, and I read the prayer request book, which was heartbreaking.
I believe in the general goodness of people on the whole. And today I felt truly blessed to see the mist rising up from the valley, enshrouding the surrounding hills and fields against an orange sky, as the sun rose. Just beautiful.
I've got a good week-end coming up,with workshops and a coach trip, which I am really looking forward to. :)
All is well.

Understood.
The mist rising up from the valley, enshrouding the surrounding hills and fields against an orange sky, as the sun rose.

Now that sounds like a blissful way to greet the day! :D
