Sacred Circle

Sacred circle, wheel of the year, passage of life, four quarters appear. Seasons and days entwined into one, and at it's centre the solar sun.

Youth of the year, the saplings awake, heading to the light, they steadfastly take. She brings life with each breath, the sleepiness subsides, the animals awake, hungry for food, they must partake. Magic is this time that we are reborn, the breath of life, the coming of morn. The dew drops fall on this new day, nourishing the ground, for the saplings to play. The solar sun warms these seeds of life as the winter gives up all it's strife.

Summer blooms in all it's glory, green the grass you ever did see, green the leaves upon the her tree, green the earth, covered in grass, green the shrubs and undergrowth mass. Heady now with colourful joy, of life's rainbow, prismatic toy. Solar sun is now at it's peak, the light and the warmth that we covert and seek. Bountiful earth so full of vigour, you honor us now most beautiful and bigger. Blooms dance now in the summers air, as the petals begin to fall into autumns snare.

Autumn now, she dances in the breeze, brown the bracken, skirts of gold, orange not green. The blanket now thickens as the breeze quickens. Now she dons a bark so bare, the cold seeps in as the ravens scare. Brown the bark, gnarled and knotted, death to come, the cold garrotted Brown her leaves, as they scatter to dust, onto the earths harded crust.

Crisp are the days, breath lingers in the air, slows to a new rhythm daylight stripped bare. Brown is the bark, still are the trees. No green, but white is the color i now see. Snow capped peaks, rivers of crystal bright, twinkle away in ones sight. Silence prevails, but a tree creaks, the forest is quiet and all mostly sleeps. Snow blankets the earth, and freezes the ground, your own footsteps, in the forest, are the only sound. Home now to sleep till the darkness does fade. Awaiting the spring time masquerade.

Sacred circle, wheel of the year, passage of life, four quarters appear. Seasons and days entwined into one, and at it's centre the solar sun.

Hi Penyou

I have just read this twice, it has such a flow and does live up to its title. I love the passage of time and the feeling of flowing through the cycle of the year. It is only my opinion, but I think it is a wonderful piece of writing. Thank you for sharing.

Love & Blessings Phil
