a new riddle.....

[Crimson Stormfire]

i can be troubled or calm,
thin or thick.
deep or shallow,
still or restless,
tortured or peaceful,
i can be interrupted
or i cannot,
i am the same every time you encounter me
but i am vastly different every time as well,
i exist for a few hours at a time,
but i also exist at all times in between
i am there when you need me but do not want me,
i am there when you want me and do not need me,
i am there when you do not want me nor need me.
sometimes i have a voice
sometimes i am silent
sometimes i am violent
sometimes i am still.
i am a part of all living things from the smallest grasses to the greatest celestial bodies.
what am I?

{note... i will post the answer in a few days........i am starting to develop my riddling so this is a trial of an original riddle and hopefully i have a good start.
