Immensity in Migration(3/26/2012)
A warm stone lists against the curve
My palm, fitted within the softened surface
A stone, velvety with sunlight
Smoothed by a thousand years of streams.
It speaks to me in its way
A quiet, deeply gentle voice,
Immersed in the rush of water
Exposed to the bite of ice and snow
Bared under the glittering, glaring sun
Tumbling, shifting, turned by hoof
And claw and paw and bare skinned foot.
A tiny, mobile menhir standing against
Shifting water and wind and light
Decreasing with each season
Till I have lifted this small, round thing
Letting all it is, has been, and will be
Whisper itself into the weave of me.

"We are happy when for everything inside us there is a corresponding something outside us."
~ William Butler Yeats

Very nice. I could almost see it transforming over time; the ever-changing foundation of our home filled with it's own life. Well done.
There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.
