The cause

Postby Lughan » 01 Jun 2012, 20:46

I am a shadow of a lost cause
Saving a world for tomorrow
A fail promise from dead heroes of yesterday.
A change we wanted that never came
We fool ourselves that the changes we made was good
But we just became the villain of someone else's game.

We are heroes no more, our causes will be forgotten tomorrow
No one will care of the blood we shed for our deeds
What we gain will be corrupted and no one will remember our names.

I drink silently for my friends who fought and now silent from a cause
That drank their soul and crush their spirit when they couldn't
Finish the great fight.

They are still heroes to me
Fighting the same war but with different names that will never end.

Hi Lughan, and thanks for posting this.

I like your themes of how time changes causes, deeds and people. Your lines are the 'right length' for easy reading and you move on from one idea before it becomes stale.

If you're interested in constructive criticism, let me know, but there's not much else I really have to say. I hope to see more of your works on here in the future.

I don't mind people saying what they think I done wrong because that's how one grow. As long it's done in a kind way then there no problem when someone point out a flaw or mistake.
