a place of bones...

Postby Crimson Stormfire » 13 Jul 2012, 02:35

The paths of shade and shadow
shifting like desert sands
have led me here,
to this Golgotha.

Through misty valleys,
past unfound doors,
through darkness and light,
I have walked bravely.

But this place,
This place of bones,
This place scares me.
this pallid place.

a space of sorrow and loss
a place of beginning and ending,
a place of things lost and of things found.

A great battle of giants
left this place charred.
My path leads me through.

what will i find?
what will i lose?

i step to the bones
and leave the mists behind
its castle receding into her veil.

I stride among the dead giants
hearing their whispers.
listening to their sad songs.

still onward i walk
in the dusky twilight
the bones begin to sing........

A painting of words :) well done that poet/Bard!
From decay comes growth, fungal or otherwise. All stages of death are filled with life and life to be. Creation is made up of ugly beauty that is gorgeous to those who can feel as well as they can see.
