The Sacred Yew - Comments Welcome

I mark a sacred place that is barely a memory in your world today.
I serve the old Goddess, the Crone. I form a gateway to Her.

At my feet your ancestors left a great wise one, a chieftain.
They left him with me to guard and protect.
I gave my word, and entwined my roots gently around him,
drawing his essence into me.

Together we transformed.

I have kept my vow for more than a thousand long years.
And I say to you now that I remain beside you as you race through your lives.
I feel when you are born, when you die and when you come again.

Each time you return,
I grow a new needle
in honor of that day.
