the muse

Postby Crimson Stormfire » 27 Aug 2012, 13:05

into that recent black void
i tumbled ,
falling, twisting, burning, screaming.
till at last i landed and my torment subsided,
i found my lost muse there,
at the bottom of that black well.

broken twisted and charred,
she looked at me through tear stained eyes,
and remarked in a hoarse voice,

"i knew you would come" said she
"i have been screaming at you through this void for so long"
"fearing your un-hearing ears"
i could see in her eyes the spark of creativity though very dim alighting new
as i took her broken form in my arms.

i lifted her up and her gaze met mine, the creativity i shunned,
now lit in her eyes with a bit of madness and love, life returned her,
and i found myself staring at a blank watercolor page,
the ideas streaming forth like so much paint from a brush,
and together my muse and i whispered to each other

"thank you for saving me from the void"

Oh, what a Bolt from the Blue.......

I love that so much....

Did you, by any chance, see my muse wandering, or lying nearby. They seem to have taken their leave, or just maybe I've gone deaf and I also need to tumble into the dark depths... to find them.

This is beautiful! I loved it, especially after reading your other poem earlier. Wonderful continuation of the idea...this followup was quite breathtaking.
Winter is naturally a harsh time...I think the darkness brings a bit of sadness to alot of people. I hope everything is going okay for you!
