Best Irish/English dictionary available

Postby madpoet » 11 Jul 2006, 21:41

I am looking to replace my Foclóir Póca English / Irish - Irish / English Dictionary 1988 version, with something bigger, more comprehensive and likely hardback.  I want something that will help me with reading and writing.

What do you'll recommend?

Here's a good review of popular Irish dictionaries:

http://nualeargais.ie/leirmheasanna/focloiri.php

Personally, I'd go for:

Foclóir Gaeilge- Béarla O Dónaill ( http://www.litriocht.com/shop/product_i ... cts_id=256 )

agus

English-Irish Dictionary -De Bhaldraithe ( http://www.litriocht.com/shop/product_i ... cts_id=251 )

Le meas,
Biniaimín.

Ecne,

Thanks, that's the one I was looking at, and have since been reminded it's the one to get.
