Smoking Owl

How would I say Smoking Owl, or something similar in Irish? All help will be appreciated greatly. Thank you! Also pronounciations would be great!

Hi, honor_your_life!

I'm going to assume you don't mean smoking hot or smoking burning, but smoking of the kind that is banned in restaurants? Please clarify if I've chosen the wrong meaning!

caitheamh tobac = tobacco-smoking (lit. consumption of tobacco)
owl = ulchabhán

So, I think it might be ulchabhán caitheamh tobac (awl'-huh-vawn cath'-uv tuh-bak'), and maybe Beith can correct me if I'm in error here. 'Smoking' in this sense doesn't seem to be one of those clear word for word translations.

Incedentally, ulcha is beard in Irish and bán is white. Am I completely off the mark thinking that ulchabhán literally means white-beard? Even if only a pun for wise old bird, with no linguistic foundation, it's cute. :grin:
