Yuletide gift 2010???

Will there be a Yuletide gift 2010?
...or have I simply overread a thread for it?

I've haven't seen anything yet, and it's getting a bit late to organise it now.
I've really enjoyed the secret santa these last few years too....

I'm missing it too. I really enjoyed doing this the past couple of years, and i've not found anything on the forums for it either. Maybe we should start a thread where people just post something for everyone else to see/read/listen to or whatever else you can think of? and then people can look at it on the Solstice and think of each other, and the spirit of Yule spreading across the world, I don't know. It wouldn't be the same as giving and recieving a specific gift, but it would still be fun. what do you say?

I think it can still be organised - but I don't know if it should be done by someone who is also mod or admin here - or if it is okay if "anyone" started it....

But I also like the idea of a solciste greeting (and I don't see any reason why not both should be done....)

Really I'm thinking there's only three weeks til the Alban Arthan, so that's not long to get people signed up, paired up and leave time for gift creation, but a gift sharing thread would certainly work. It wouldn't be quite as personal but still fun. How would we organise it? Should we nominate an organiser who could receive all the gifts and then post them all in a thread on the 21st? If we just had a thread to post to then it wouldn't have that same sense of anticipation and excitement as waiting for your special email, but waiting to see the gifts might bring a bit of that into it. Or maybe not? It would be nice to do something though

Instead of doing a Yuletide Gift one you could always do a 'Random Act of Kindness'. If people want in they post up a 'wishlist' from something small like a postcard or hagstone, to something larger say a book or handmade jumper.

Give 3 months for the RAK's to go through?
