Looking for a ritual for peace, tired to hate...

Postby Equilluminus » 22 Feb 2011, 21:31

Deep within the still center of my being,

may I find peace.

Silently within the quiet of the Grove,

may I share peace.

Gently and powerfully,

within the greater circle of humankind,

may I radiate peace.

You hit the nail on the head: this is my favorite.

you do that daily, there's your ritual.
I do it (but not daily) with some prayer beads.

if you want it more elaborate, use a candle, some incense and cast a circle.
I love Athos rose incense. Should be available in your neighborhood :hiya:

I love that prayer too! It's also a wonderful meditation. As a ritual I light a candle. I use movement: touching my heart for the 'within' part; reaching my arms out a bit for the within the grove part; and stretching my arms to the front and sweeping to the sides for the radiating part. As I radiate out I visualize peace rolling around the planet from me, and then coming back to me as it rolls around.
