Looking to see if there is any interest

Postby MPutnam » 01 Jul 2011, 17:34

Full disclosure: I also just posted this up in the "Writer's Grove" forum but I think this forum will give me the feed back i want too.

I am currently working on a children's version of the Mabinogion (the four branches only) and I was just wondering if anyone of you (especially you proud parents and grandparents) would be interested in this book? I plan to finish it even if it never sells one copy because it's fun and I want to read it to my future children. Thanks for the feedback!

It sounds like a great project. I love the story but at this point in my life my kids are grown & (mostly) out of the house. But that's not saying that I won't have any grandkids within the next several years & I'd love to have a kids version to read to them.
Keep us posted. :)

I'm glad to hear it. My fiance and I are working hard to get them into publish.
We will be releasing the branches separately and the first branch is almost all typed up but we haven't even started on the illustrations yet. But, gods willing, we will have the first branch ready for sale no later than the end of the year!

No, we haven't published it yet. As we're both full time students and work full time on the side we've be quite busy. I will be sure to let you know as soon as it is out!

Kickstarter (http://www.kickstarter.com) is going to start accepting UK-based projects in the autumn - this seems like a good candidate for that! I bet people would contribute.

I would love to see it! I wish there were more Pagan children's books available...

I just assumed you were in the UK, but you're not - so Kickstarter is already an option! It's definitely something I would read to my son.

I would be very interested in working this into our homeschooling curriculum! Is there any progress?
