Schuberts "Unfinished" Symphony No 8

Postby Miranda » 12 Jul 2006, 01:47

I've played this song so many times, but it never gets old. I even forgot to return the music back to whatever school I was attending at the time! OOPS! I don't remember if I was in high school or college, but it doesn't matter anymore, so many years ago. I've got most of the viola part memorized. Definately one of my favorites!    What's everyone else think?

I played it in the school orchestra about 3 times.  A few years ago mind you :-)  Yes, I like it and think it is a shame he never managed to finish the symphony.  By contrast, I once played through the score of one of his earlier symphonies and thought it was a bit boring.
