I cannot think of a symphony I really like. The Jupiter and Prague, dont do much for me.
Of his concertos, I really like the 20th piano- the Romance is sublime and 22; the Sifonia Concertante for violin and viola; the A Maj Clarinet Concerto; One of the Horn Concertos; The Flute and Harp Concerto KV 299
I love the music from The Magic Flute - most fun and witty— but I dont do Opera as a whole.
A number of the pianos are fun to play and more approachable than Beethoven's for a mediocre pianist. I particularly like to play what I call the "Music Box" sonata, cant remember the number, about 2/3rd the way thru the book. There was an "Outer Liimits" episode (original series) with Robt Devall that featured the 1st movement.
So what are your recommendations for great Mozart for a Beethoven groupie?
