In the Space of Time

In the Space of Time

Postby Fae » 21 Oct 2003, 17:17

In the space of time, you took control, of my mind and my soul.
I realize now that you never really cared in that way,
You knew what to say, to take it all away.
You took away the things that make me who I am,
my self-respect, my confidence, my esteem.

In the space of time, you took control, of my mind and my soul.
You thought I was there, to make you feel great,
All you had for yourself was hate.
I have fought a long hard fight,
I need to be me, that is my right.

In the space of time, you took control, of my mind and my soul.
The person I am is not bad,
Sometimes happy, sometimes sad.
I have to travel alone,
To find out I can do it on my own.
I know today, in the space of time,
I have control of my soul and my mind.

That is wonderful Ce'Nedra...and healing, don't you find?

To express feelings and thoughts through poetry, is balm indeed for the soul and a refuge for a troubled heart. It is a great way to 'let go'.

Well done!

whoever inspired this, may he know the greatness of his loss of you; and may you recognize the wonderful person that is you who shines out to us on this board.

Well done!

Beith; you understand!!!! :o

It took me a while to be able to get up the nerve to post this, as you say, it is my heart and soul.... :crying:

It is through a very loving new partner and lots of inner searching, that I have come to realize the exact nature of his loss and of my own value :awen:

Once again, thanks so much....

Ce Nedra thatwas truly a piece of your heart, and is very powerful as such things are, when we leave a small bit of us in them.
I hope it has helped in your healing, I find it writing a good way of getting go, as Beith has said. :) Great Poem!

Summer ends in gowns of gold and Red
Diamond encrusted webs
add sparkle to her aging eyes.
One last dance before sleep over takes her
and visions of green fill her dreams.

it looks as you put good use to bad feelings. Releasing them is never easy.
Starting a new will build strength in you,I have faith you can do it.
