Board Rat-Tat Right Out of My Mind

I sit here and twiddle
I sit here with my twine
Making the cat’s cradle
Board rat-tat right out of my mind

Washed every cupboard that I could find
Washed ever dish and pot and made them shine
Washed windows, floors and children too
Still board rat-tat right out of my mind

Polished the silver until it glowed
Polished the furniture in our abode
Polished the stairwells and Mister’s head too
Still board rat-tat right of out my mind

Ran the Hoover and vacuumed every room
Ran the kids to school and then home again
Ran all over town shopping Oops…almost ran him down
Still board rat-tat right out of my mind

Not a speck of dust
Not a hint of dirt
Not a child out of line
Still board rat-tat right of my mind

Bathed the dog
Bathed the cat
Bathed the Mister Oops…I swear dear the soap slipped
Still board rat-tat right out of my mind

Tomorrow what will I ever do when nothing needs to be done
Tomorrow I will wake the Children and Mister too
Tomorrow we can have a bake and lemonade sale
Still board rat-tat right out of my mind

Until tomorrow I have nothing to do
Until tomorrows mess I have no clue
Until tomorrow just what will I do
Still board rat-tat right out of my mind

I love it too.
Very good and it really shows how not satisfied we are with our daily lives. What happen to the good ol' fashion tribes we use to live in. What happen to the hunt. What happen to the adventure. Whose idea was it to get rid of all that stuff and live in a house?

Now that was fun!
Great Poem.
Very creative.

i had fun writing it. And yes i was board when i started it.

Kinda like doodleing with words. If someone had put pen and paper in front of me i would have doodled a picture, but i think this turned out better than picture would have with stick figures. :-)

Thank You for your kind words. :-D  :kissie: :brnbear: :awen:

There's a Bard called Kaya Nita
Who writes poems kinda neat-a
She wrote this one when bored
Head down on keypad, almost snored

She's a wonderful poem-writer
And makes our hearts all lighter
Her tales bring inspiration
From one to the next generation...

O thank you, CompostingEarth
For your merriment and mirth

KN I sure could do with some help around here!! Absolutely Fantastic.

Feathers, you are becoming very adept at a bit of prose. When I become bored I take a doze. But now I kneel and you both a rose, through your words we see that the awen flows.

I Love You Both

The goddess in green
The goddess of all
That I've ever seen
The goddess of hope
The goddess in brown
The goddess of all
That you've burned to the ground
