White Pine Staff (Craft)

White Pine Staff (Craft)

Postby Azrienoch » 17 Sep 2004, 19:23

This staff I made for personal use. I found the branch near the Gael-Darach Grove in Frontinac State Park when we hosted the Beltane Gorsedd this past May. The crystal on the top of the staff has not been enhanced in any way...it simply does that.

Very beautiful! I especially like the way the color of the wood changes.
How tall is it?

Another beautiful piece. This competition is becoming more difficult already for me to make a decision.

Looks marvelous in person too. I can vouch for that. He tried putting the crystal ball in the middle of his forehead first but the epoxy wouldn't stick when he frowned.

P.S. I know it's confusing, but it's Geal-Darach, not Gael-Darach. Sorry, I'm a compulsive proof-reader...

Greetings,

That sphere... it resembles a ball of pure white light. Amazing.

I'm sure that the flash from the camera and the white wall behind it had something to do with it, Gandalf. But then, nothing is certain...

Hi Az, very nice. Badger Bob may have gone to ground, but the Hawk has landed.

There's very little that I can say Az, a beautiful staff. Your wands are superb to, but I like my staffs, and this is a treat. Well done.

Peace,

Craig.

Az, it's already been said but it bears repeating - your work is amazing! I love the leaves "climbing" the staff, ending in a crystal! It's like a vine reaching for the sun!
Pay attention to the path, and learn the hard way.  The easy way is fun and entertaining, but you take away very little.
