Autumn

Hello this is my first posting I have read other poems that have been posted and enjoyed them a lot. I thought I would share mine with you as well.

:luis:
I listened to the Autumn breeze,
Rustling gently through the trees,
The Rowan with its berries red,
And leaves of gold and umbre shed.

The Holly has a thorny crown,
With no hint of turning brown.
Its glossy leaves of evergreen
Will grace a snowy winter scene.

Nature puts on a blazing show
Wrapped in her Autumnal glow.
Giving to us from her store,
All we need and so much more.

I sit and listen to the trees
Feeling the gentle Autumn breeze.
Teaching me what I need to know,
So in natures love I will grow.

As my eyes lift up to the sky
To see the clouds drifting by,
I feel at peace with all I see
As natures love flows through me.

A lovely tribute to a favorite season! Thanks for sharing your work!
Pay attention to the path, and learn the hard way.  The easy way is fun and entertaining, but you take away very little.

I sat under a maple tree meditating the other night and this is exactly how I felt.

Thank you for sharing this with us.

:D Thank you for the warm welcome.
I was nervous about posting my poem when I saw the quality of the others and pleased that you all enjoyed it.
Autumn this year is so vibrant the trees are ablaze with colour. We have 5 Rowan trees next to our flat and they are laden with berries more than they had last year at this time.
I love all the seasons but Autumn has always been a favourite.
