Diverged Symmetry

A Faded Silhouette
Walks Upon Two Pathways
One Being
Two Directions
A Constant Battle
A War of Self
On One Road the Figure Slows...
Upon the Other it Quickens...
Night
Day
From the Darkness Comes the Dawn

This is a poem that I wrote fairly recently that involves myself--It's a fairly personal poem describing a part of me that was missing for a time. There was an event in my life last summer that changed me, I felt much better because of it, renewed. But as time went on after that event I began to lose contact with this part of me. This "higher self" as it were.

Hope you Enjoy.

"I see the old men, all twisted and torn.
The forgotten heroes of a forgotten war.
And the young people ask me, 'what are they
marching for'?
And I ask myself the same question."

Truly beautiful, Celtic Wind. I think we all can relate to this at one time or other in our life.

I like how you portrayed the inner struggle..almost like it is a balance. Well done! :)

You've truly touched on a play that takes stage within all of us at some time or another ... Thank you.
