Dear Kitty Poem

Dear Kitty

Dear Kitty
Lovely cat
Gone since 2001
On this day Halloween
With us for 18 years
Soft and purring
Hard and meowing
Loving and yet aloof
Royal in stature
Gentle in ways
Soft as the forest
Black as the night
White as the snow
Cute as a kitten
Dear Kitty I love you
You are always in my heart
There will be other cats
They will be loved
But you were my first, Kitty
And you will never be forgotten
I have an acorn
Freshly sprouted
A fragile seed
Awen awakens
On this day Samhain
I shall plant it
In some earth
In earth mother
You will be remembered
In this oak tree
As it grows and gets bigger
You will be remembered with every
Inch it moves upward
Toward the sky
You will be remembered
In every season
Through spring's budding
Through summer's heat
Through the bright leaves of autumn
Through the cold sleep of winter
You will be remembered through the years
Through each acorn the tree produces
You will be remembered
Each time
That tree is touched
By my hands
Dear Kitty
I love you
Sincerely,
Your friend,
GreenDruid

I don't use our cat's real name in here...just call her Kitty.
We do have another cat btw. She will probably have some poems written about her too.

I love you...

Ik hou van jou...

Lovely. And gentle blessings to you as you mourn your sweet Kitty's passing.
Willow the still inkless

Peace over anger. Honour over hate. Strength over fear.
