Did You Know?

Did You Know?

Did You Know?

Did you know I celebrated your birth?
Did you know I held you
When you were just a wee lad?
Did you know I followed your story?
All through your teenage years
Did you know I hoped you would find love?
Did you know I cried at your wedding?
Did you know I rejoyced with your blooming
During your prime of life?
Did you know I celebrated the birth of your baby?
Did you know I thought of you when you turned 50?
Did you know I cried with you when you lost friends?
Did you know I would have wanted to read your journals
Had you let me see them?
Did you know I cared about your story?
Did you know I thought you rocked?
Did you know I grieved with your passing?
Did you know I went to your funeral?
Did you know I was your good friend?
Even though we have never met!

beautiful.....you wrote this with someone in mind- that is obvious. You wove in the whole circle of life - and reminded me that friendship goes far beyond the physical.

This is wonderful! And truly a reminder of the bonds of friendship.

Actually, BranBeith I don't have anybody in mind spefically. This poem is kind of a tribute to the people we never meet.
