Darkness enfolds me,
crushing bones and flesh,
small,squat, compressed,
a regurgitated pellet
Malevelant, Orange eyes
peer,coldly,
a Killer and its prey.
Talons skewer me
and we soar into the night,
silver moonlight caresses,
the granite like soil,
great wings slap the night air
in to submission,
the EagleOwl powers on.
I feel its eyes, mesmerising, knowing,
I feel it's mind and know terror,
Thrown into the night I fall
round and round,
the ground rushes towards me,
closer,closer,
I soar.
Wings beating, blood racing, I rise
and come to rest in a tall pine tree
enveloped in its healing light
I live
Darkness falls away, I see,
myself EagleOwl
re-born.
Calling to the night, The Spirit and the Gods I spread my wings and fly.
In Peace EagleOwl once Stohornugle and Shapara
and may be again
