The Moon

The Moon

Postby Cerridwen » 06 Dec 2004, 05:42

The sky as black as velvet
The glistening crescent glowing
No matter what phase You are
The beauty is amazing

The feelings that You evoke
Your inspiration is flowing
No matter which way I go
Its You who influences me still

I sit and stare in awe
You are my beauty from within
The clouds glide across you effortlessly
Your beauty so overwhelming

From Full through to New
And Waxing through to Waning
Your phases are so fascinating
I could stare all now at you

My fascination is hard to explain
But, I know you understand
Just what is so intriguing
My shimmering, shining Lady

Your first three stanzas are as entrancing as watching the moon itself, and so I think you've succeeded! I think I'll take my harp and play this song to the moon.

You have put into words how I feel when I look at the moon. How wonderful!
