To The Mighty Sun

Hello, Sun
You great big ball of light
You shine down upon the Earth
You give us light
You give us life
I wonder how I can thank you, Sun
I wonder how I can acknowledge
The great gift you have given
To the Earth
Your light, that we may live
I feel powerless, mighty sun
For I cannot say what I want to say to you
It is almost time for the winter solstice
When you are born again
After the longest night of the year
How do I greet you when you rise?
How do I turn eastward and really convey to you
The joy in my heart
That you have blessed us for another year.

This one was very hard to write and I am maybe going to totally change it, keeping the title and reworking the rest. I feel very humbled by the sun's light, giving us life year after year...
Phoenix
I love you...
Je t'aime...
Ik hou van jou...

Don't change it! I like it-- glory to the Sun! Bright Blessings of the Solstice--

Willow, off to do a quick Sun Salutation, thanks to your inspiration!
Willow the still inkless

Peace over anger. Honour over hate. Strength over fear.
