A familiar path is found

A familiar path is found

A familiar grove
A different path
One seen only when winter’s chill makes bare the trees and shrubs
Trees rarely seen up close
A barely passable track full of detours ‘round fallen trees
Ducking under low branches
Stepping over logs
A familiar path is found

A familiar vale
A new sound
The dry creek bed made wet by flooding rain and winter’s snow
A meandering brook
Sounds most heard in the fullness of spring
Walking by the stream
Up high and down low
A peaceful sound

Familiar trees
A different look
Wet with winter’s rain and melting snow
Strong roots
A tree trusted with a body’s weight while peering down the vale
Strong roots a trusted strength
Old tree, young tree, big or small
A joyful sight

A path is found
My path is found
Long delayed by mundane matters and distractions kindly meant
A direction ventured
Sound and strength, the unknown made known
Walking by the stream
A tree’s trusted strength
A familiar path is found

This is wonderful and I too am looking forward to seeing more.
