Life Tied

Life Tied

Postby Deilen » 25 Jan 2005, 15:21

There are no words to describe how I feel
A dark yearning for ancient times
A panicked feeling to run, yet held.
Strong chains of family ties
That smother and mother and drown me.
My guardian, my angel, my shining star
Can only keep me breathing while I am under.
For, I alone, am the only one that can break free
But somewhere,
deep inside,
I like the comfort
of life tied

I am fairly close to the beginning of the bardic grade. I too have written so much since starting.
I was silent for 4 years and now I am finding my voice and my courage to say what I feel again.
The writings of other people such as yourself also keep me writing because without reading the work of others I cannot write my own stuff. Awen is most definitely a two-way street!

To find your voice after four years and beable to speak such wonderful words as you do, both in your poems and to other people, you must surely be blessed. Awen is most definitely eveywhere. Thank you again for your very lovely words.

Very nice, Deilen. I really like that phrase, "comfort of life tied."

Hi,

I found that the bard course really helped me to start writing again too, it must be the magic :-)
