An Angel

Postby Willowhawk » 11 Oct 2006, 21:41

:candle:

I light this for Hayden, a much-loved and eagerly awaited baby boy who was born 9 October 2006 at 11:58 pm, CDT... and who passed sometime in the early morning hours of 10 October 2006.

:candle:

This one is for Rebecca, his mother, whose heart is shattered.

:candle:

For his family.

:candle:

And, selfishly, for us-- the nursing staff who took care of Rebecca for nearly two months, who got to know her and sweet Hayden, if only through the faulty media of ultrasound and doppler machines.

Rebecca's water broke at 21 weeks. She spent 8 weeks on strict bedrest, while we monitored her and Hayden carefully. On Monday night, she went into labor and delivered her precious son, but his little lungs never developed properly, and he remained earthside only briefly, before the Great Mother gathered him to Her breast.

Please hold this family and their angel in your hearts.

Love and all blessings,

Willow, weeping

Once I read a story about a little soul, that wanted to do something special. It went to the Great Spirit (however we see/feel/call it/him/her etc   ) and told him about it. The Great Spirit said: "So what would you like to do? Or to be?"
The little soul said: "I'd like to do something great. I want to give something..." and after a while it said:"I'd like to forgive!!"  "That's a great thing," the Great Spirit said. "It shows a  lot of love to forgive." The little soul was happy and proud of it's idea.  :D  It wanted to start immediately to forgive.  :o  But something was missing.

Another little soul, who had heard the talk between the Great Spirit and the little soul came to them and said: " I want to help you. But you must promise, that you never forget, who I really am and you never stop loving me." The first little soul said: "Why should I ever do something like that??" And the Great Spirit started explaining the plan.....
..... and the little soul understood what great love the second little soul had to be willing to harm the first little soul, so that it would be able to forgive.

(Sorry about my english. Suppose to tell it more exciting in German     )
I remembered this story when I read what Willowhawk wrote here.    Thank you Hayden for your great love and your devotion. All my love to Rebecca and strength to her to find out what she is to learn about that situation.

Lots of love,

Rhodonit
