Luciano Pavarotti

Postby Crystal Dragon » 06 Sep 2007, 08:57

In memory of Luciano Pavarotti - IMO the greatest tenor of recent times whose voice has a unique quality that can reduce me to tears by its sheer beauty and depth of feeling.

:candle: With many blessings for your onward journey Luciano and my thanks for all the pleasure your voice has given me and for introducing me to the wonderful world of opera.

 for your family and the millions of fans who will be mourning your passing

Oh my....I didnt know he passed.
I took my family to see the 3 tenors, years ago....what a gift Pavarotti had.

He has left his mark on me, and millions of others.
His gift will live on.

May the spirits guide him to the next realm. We have lost a beautiful voice from this world, hopefully for only a limited time. :gloomy:

My husband and I saw him perform at the Royal Albert Hall in October 2003. I am not a great opera fan, but when I saw it advertised, I said to Nick, I think we should go and see him, as we won't get another chance. (I believe it was in 2004 he was taken ill.) True, he could no longer hit the high "Cs" but once he warmed up he was brilliant. His second wife had just given birth and he brought on the surviving twin in a white shawl to show the audience, he was so proud. RIP Luciano and many many blessings to you.
