Whoa! When did this happen? I was just reading his book and getting a lot of comfort out of it.

Re-broadcast of an interview with John O'Donahue on Minnesota Public Radio's Speaking of Faith program at 9:00PM. You can access the web-site and get pod-casts I'm pretty sure.

What a wonderful spirit! /|\

That's how I found out about his death...my radio came on this morning and I woke up to the sound of his lovely voice. As I settled back into my pillow to listen, the interviewer mentioned it was a rebroadcast of one of the last interviews of the "late" John O'Donohue. :gloomy:

Turtle, he died Jan. 3, peacefully, in his sleep. He was 52. Gone far too soon.

His writings have touched my life deeply.

I'm a fan of his, too. What a shocker -- only 52. Wow...

Had the great privilege of hearing him speak a couple of years ago. A poetic master and a spiritual genius. If Churchianity had more souls like this one I would have stayed for longer myself. But then he too had to leave the institution to set his deepest and most creativity potential free! And now he is freer still and flies with the birds he so movingly described.
