For John Lynch

Postby Dryadia2 » 09 Jan 2009, 02:46

For my brother-in-law, Dr. John Lynch, N.D. :candle:
He valiantly fought a battle with cancer, much longer than was expected; all the while continuing to have a positive attitude and cheery disposition.

My sister Suzanne, started a blog about his condition, and here is a small quote:
...When Johnny was first diagnosed with cancer in 2003, the doctors did not have a very promising prognosis for him, however thanks to naturopathic medicine and surgery, and much love and support, he enjoyed many more years. Because Johnny could not get insurance this time due to a pre-existing condition, he did not receive the preventative care he needed...CT scans.

...Johnny did not have health insurance, he did not receive the surgery that could have saved his life back when the tumor was still operable in January of 2008. We hope Johnny's sacrifice will help bring attention to the inadequacies of our current health care system and perhaps one day in the future naturopathic and allopathic medicine will one day be available to all who need it...
Suzanne will continue the support for natural and conventional universal health care. For anyone interested, the blog can be found here:

John was a friend of mine, a man who held himself to an incredibly high standard, someone who lived by his conscience and his ideals. The world is less now that he has passed over, the other side is richer for his presence. May the Nature Spirits guide him home; may the Honoured Dead welcome him among them; may the High Ones grant him rest, and rebirth in due time. As it was, as it is, as it will be; there will be a returning for him.
:where:

Rest in peace, my friend, there are few people left on this planet with your allotment of passion, your mindfulness of ethics and virtue. You are a great healer who has led by your example, a great teacher who has led with your wisdom, a bright and shining star who knew the high ground because you refused to travel anywhere else. I will always value the conversations and meals that we shared in this lifetime. I regret that we were unable to share one more when we last saw each other. Know that you will be missed by many.
Namaste'

Dr. John Lynch was the consummate Naturopathic Physician, he worked tirelessly to share his wisdom about health, diet and the future of our planet. To those who knew John, he personified his passions. He loved his beautiful wife with all of his heart, I remember when he came back from Burning Man that year, scarcely able to contain his excitement--"I found the love of my life" he told me

Johnny, I'll catch you on the Other side--save a place for me over by the tofu and lentils :candle:
