Our Doggie has moved on....

Postby White Dragonwolf » 11 Jan 2006, 21:25

Our doggie Chi-11yrs old, 77 in doggie years, died last night. I was the only one awake and spent her last moments by her side. She had been ill for awhile and there wasn't nothing that we could do. She spent her last days laying in our yard or on her doggie bed. Through all this, she stayed peaceful and calm.

My hubby and I buried her early this morning. Could those of you here please light a candle for her to light her way to the Summerlands. Thank you. :candle:

For Chi :candle:

My thoughts are with you both. A few years ago, I had to have my 15 year English Springer put to sleep. The vet kindly came to our house and he passed on in my arms. We had him cremated (he was 65 lbs), and when we got his ashes back, we buried him with a small, simple, druid ritual which I wrote for him.

You will probably feel him around you for many days or weeks to come, as his spirit is preparing to move on. I found myself still seeing Bobby when I came home from work, and would automatically say hello to him :) This is a healing process for us all, and allows us to say farewells without undue haste.

My prayers and thoughts are with you, and with Chi.

Blessings of Hern
