I just got the following email from an old High School Grad Friend:
"Hello, bad news. Got home yesterday, found Merlin beside my bed, stiff, with sorta bloody foam on his mouth. Tracked it back to behind the toilet.
Took him to vet, he said it looks like heart attack/ stroke, due to
thickened heart wall, possible blood clot, so it was quick. Vet said it's not uncommon for male cats between ages of 5 and 8, Merlin was 6 1/2. He also said if he'd been in for a check up the day before, he probably would
have checked out fine, a thorough check up may have found it, but not for
sure.
Anyways, thought you'd all like to know, he was the party kitty after all,
and all of you bear scarsfrom him...

My friend is having his Cat Cremated and the Ashes preserved into a Urn, and there will be a Wake happening shortly.
