I saw king diamond and mercyfull fate twice, he is great!!!
For the king for the land for the mountains
For the green valleys where dragons fly
For the glory the power to win the black lord
I will search for the emerald sword

Here's my list:
Gaelic song to learn on harp (Anne Martin)
Fine Celtic bands (Lunasa, Altan, Battlefield Band, Ossian, Tannahill Weavers) to learn stuff on fiddle
and I love to Ballroom Dance and love to dance to big band sounds;
as well as West Coast Swing so music with a good beat that is dance-able is great (blues for WCS is great, but some punk & rap works there as well)
I'm not up on the names of current Top-40 music, but would recognize a lot because it plays at work!

Omnia is a Dutch band but definatly worth the effort of downloading.

They've got a mean flutist, who's just had his handfasting with the harpist.
They work with a german band. "The Wylde Hunt" is one of my personal favorites, although most fans go for "Moriggan", which starts off easy and get harsher throughout the number.

Moriggan Crone of War lyrics:
Over hills and over meadows
see the crow fly, feel her shadow
Over woods and over mountains
searching for a war

Her wings embrace each strife and battle
where swords they clash and chariots rattle
seeking out the one whose time
has come to take the blade

Morrigan ancient crone of war
I see your face, I'll cry no more
Morrigan ancient crone of war
come lift me on your wings

Morrigan ancient crone of war
I hear your voice, I'll breathe no more
Morrigan ancient crone of war
come set my spirit free

Kill for Morrigan
Maim for Morrigan
Fight for Morrigan
and you will
Slay for Morrigan
Die for Morrigan
Morrigan crone of war

my music taste

Postby lawdy_da » 04 Nov 2005, 21:07

I really into jazz and classical music. It really brings out the best inside my mind and a lot of times that's very hard to do. I like Najee, Grover washington Jr., Miles davis, and Sarah Brightman.

It Great Music!

Looking back to the original post, the idea does work well, added to talking to folks in chat, its amazing just how easy it can be to broaden music tastes, but I also feel that what you listen too, depends on the time of year, the seasons and the way we interact with nature. That said my current listening list would be....

Omnia
Mediaeval Baebes
Blackmores Night
Nightwish
Therion
Hevia
Keith Urban
Steve Earle
Ozric Tentacles
Hawkwind

......

But having just discovered Omnia, its on constant repeat (ps Morrigan is a very addictive ditty, but my fave is Auta Luonta, if I can get past Morrigan that is, hehe)
She's the goddess of love
The goddess in green
The goddess of all
That I've ever seen
The goddess of hope
The goddess in brown
The goddess of all
That you've burned to the ground

Gotta throw some Dropkick Murphy's into my list, as well as Alice Deejay, Ramones, and Goldfinger. (funny the things you find whilst rifling through storage...)

I am mostly into Extreme Metal and Pagan Metal, but some Pagan Rock and Folk as well, but still have much to learn in all areas...

Here are a few of my favorite Pagan Bands:
#1 Amon Amarth
Waylander
Cruachan
Enslaved
Unleashed
Marduk
Enthroned
Immortal
Burzum

So many... You get the drift anyways...

For Pagan Folk & Rock I only know:
Witchcraft
Great stuff!

I like this post, it is interesting to see everyone's different musical tastes - I see that there is a common theme amongst most though.

I have had to think very hard about the music I listen to and a lot of the music I like has already been covered by you all but here goes.

Jimi Hendrix
Nirvana
Bob Marley
;) Seems I only like dead musicians so far!
Clannad
Kate Rusby
Hildergard Von Bingen
Any early music things like Montpellier Codex and Gregorian Chants
Nigel Shaw
Afro Celtic Sound System
Beethoven
early Dylan
The Band
Hank Williams
Gorillaz
The Incredible String Band
Nick Drake
Bangra and all sorts of world music
Cuban
Latino especially with a Reggae beat

If I think of any more I will let you know. Basically I am open to most things. If I like it, I like it , if you know what I mean.
Love is you
Love is me
Love is wanting to be free

Meditation Music

Postby Mysteria » 29 Jan 2006, 04:41

Greetings All;

There are two CD's right now that I would like to put the titles on here.

One is: Archturus by David Andor, and the other is: Arcturian Stargate by Len Cooper both of which I found on an interesting Metaphysical Bookstore's Website. Insight Metaphysical Bookstore has them plus other interesting music, etc...

No, I do not work for them.

That is just where I purchased these CD's.
