Just another couple of thoughts, it might be an idea to confine the kitten in a fairly small safe area and what colour are the kittens eyes? When a kittens eyes first open they are usually blue, over the next couple of weeks they will change to whatever colour they will be throughout life unless they are a pedigree breed that has blue eyes such as siamese, birmans and some persians, etc. This might just give you a better idea of age.

First of all,        to all you wonderful caring people.  I haven't been here for a bit & didnt realize how many responses there were! :kissie:

But sadly baby kitty did not make it.   She just died in my arms a few minutes ago, after seeming to have a mild convulsion then off she went over the rainbow bridge.  She had actually seemed a bit better last nite because she was drinking quite a bit of the replacement milk, but all day today she hardly wanted any and had stopped purring which did not seem like a good sign.  I suppose I had a feeling it was coming soon after that & I did say a prayer to her to be free to join her friends if she wanted to & I let her know once she was there she would not be sick anymore & she could just run & romp as much as she wanted. And maybe that was all she needed to hear.

Thank you all for caring about a little stray kitten, and for sending your love, it shows me what truly wonderful people hang out here.  :)   xoxoxoxo

Im actually crying. Im so sorry Luz, but as I see it, you are her Angel, and as I posted earlier she a teacher. She helped you to give selfless love and to realise what a fine and compassionate human you are. I am such an empath, and I feel you pain...thank you for bearing it for the higher good of her wondrful little soul.

Oh Luz  :-(  I am so sorry. You gave the little one such a special gift - to have spent her last days so cherished and loved and to be able to die in such peace and safety. I have been so touched by your care and compassion - it does my heart good to know that are such special people as you in the world. I know that to some the life of a little kitten may not seem like much - your actions provide a powerful witness to the contrary and a wonderful affirmation of the truth that lies at the heart of the Druid Way - that every soul is sacred and special, every spirit worth cherishing, every life worth celebrating.

Lots of love Luz

Thank you all , I wanted to post earlier today when I saw all your sweet condolences but got too teary eyed to type.  I think it is a combination of feeling sad for the kitten, and the meaningful things you wrote.

I am still checking around with neighbors to see if anyone had lost a kitten so just in case they did, I can let them know where she is now, & they don't have to worry about her anymore.

We buried her in our 'pet cemetery' along side our other beloved pets , and hopefully they will help guide her little spirit. I am also planting a small spruce tree in her memory as I've done with our others.

I am a strong believer in Mother Nature, she is loving & she can be cruel, but I believe she has her reasons for everything that happens in our Natural world.

And thank you Flowerfairy for the beautiful prayer, I've copied it and saved it to try to memorize it for my other furry & feathered 'kids'.  :)

And Lady Nimue, I am the same way as far as being an empath, it's not an easy weight to carry.  I think that is why I try to be as light hearted as possible & joke around alot, otherwise I would be sad & in pain for others all the time.

Much love & blessings for all your support, you are all pretty special people in my book!
Luz :-D

Luz, my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of grief, I know that even though you were with her for such a short time that you had made a strong bond with her.  Blessings to you and to her in her journey.
