Memorial for a puppy

This may seem a strange situation, but I'd like to remember a puppy, roughly 8 months old, that wasn't technically part of my household; I didn't even know his name--I'd call him Puppy (figuring that one day I'd find out who his "humans" were and what his real name is)--but whenever I'd come home for work or step outside, he'd see me and come running to greet me, with plenty of kisses. He used to love to curl up near me--when he wasn't playing with the cats (who were amazingly tolerant). I'd known him only a few months, even before we moved, but he touched my heart.

Sadly, a few days ago, Puppy fell victim to a pack of coyotes.   :cry:

Puppy (I'm sorry that I never learned your "real" name), you, in your short life here on Earth, did make a difference, and you will be missed.

:( That's so sad.

I believe animals don't need to be our pets to be loved by us.  Animals have the ability to touch us regardless of who they live with.
