rice

Today I learned that if I turn the temperature down on the rice as it cooks, it won't stick/burn to the bottom.

Today I found this thread and realized how long it has been since I
visited the obod message board.   It is a swell place to hang and I've
missed it here.

Today I learned that it's okay to ask for help in doing the little things. There are some days were moving just hurts.

I also learned a while ago that perhaps my father was right when he often said, "They [my brothers] are like motocyles. Sometimes you need to kick start them." In reference that we all need that 'kick' to do things we don't want to do. (of course, with them it was practicing their instruments and doing homework in school.)

Today I learned that the mind is a wonderful thing in that it can hide/"forget" painful memories. I also learned that life has a habit of digging up those lost memories so they can bite you and hurt you again.  :-(  Worse than that they can hurt others.  :gloomy:  Feeling pretty blue right now.
I smile because I have no idea what's going on.

 for Saoirse.

Today I learned I'm going from full time to working 3 days a week. And if things don't pick up... I'll be laid-off.  :???:

Always happens when it seems I'm just about to get close to even with my bills.

Today I learned that I am truly blessed to have the family and friends that I do.
It's the little things that get appreciated - and make you feel quite special.

Saorise - big hugs and I hope that you will find strength and support to get through whatever it is.

Enjoy this life. It would be a shame if we looked forward to the next, only to find we forgot the one before.

Today I learned that even the most tech savy person may have to call tech support for some extra help.

Also that even when you think your calling India you could be speaking to my friend down the hall!

Today I learned that procrastination can be a very effective approach to life.
To avoid study, I do work.
To avoid work, I study.
To avoid both, I go outside and play.
Everything gets done without me getting overwhelmed by how much there is to do.

I learned to forgive myself if I can't learn a lot while running 102 degrees temperature. Best just to let things be as they are sometimes. Striving under the wrong circumstances isn't such a good idea.

Maybe striving anytime isn't such a good idea!

Today I learned that you can make friends with the most unlikely people. I also learned that I need to take time out for myself and get myself right if things are to get better in other areas.

Today I learned that focusing to hard on what I wished could be so,can blind me from the truth...

You know you see a little sign that fits into what you are seaching, and then you start building up a hole new illusion, that grows so big that it covers everything that was right under your nose...

And I who dreams of clearing the veils, that covers my eyes, got caught in my own home made illusion...

Well, this weekend I learned that milk & wine shouldn't be drunk one after the other when you have stomach cramps.
Not an easy or pleasant lesson to experience Image
