Hi, "tóir spiorad" IS from my friend, who went away for awhile to think about it....
Yes, I asked about pronunciation as well, and it was surprisingly straightforward - surprising if you have even a passing aquaintance with Gaelic lol!
Tóir is pronounced kind of like "tore" with a long o, but with a rolled r at the end. Spiorad sounds like "spirit" but with a d at the end, and again the rolled r.
When I say a rolled r I don't mean a huge rolling r sound, "torrrrrrr" or "spiorrrrrrad" ... no, just one trip of the tongue, if you like.
