I have two cats, one older (we don't know exactly how old he is) and one four month old kitten that we found the other day. (The older cat hates the kitten so far, so we'll see if it works out.)

I love how wise she looks in this photo.

Ursula is most definitey a sage -- an old soul! Tobey will come around. He's got to get over the macho thing...

They're slowly starting to get along.  I've had Magic since she was 4 weeks old and she's my baby.  She's been the only cat for 7 years.  Matt's raised Neo since he was born, but he's always been around other cats.  Needless to say when we moved in together it was a shock for Magic.  She's pretty laid back but gets annoyed when he tackles her and wants to play.  The fighting's down to about twice a day now instead of twice in 10 minutes.   :D

What beautiful cats ayslin1 - where do you sleep? :D
I used to have 5 cats all of whom insisted on sleeping on the bed and provided everyone kept to their own spots it was fine - didn't leave much room for hubby and I though but we managed  :-)

Our kitties were adopted from a local shelter 10 months ago. My husband saw the 5 month old littermates immediately, and declared that we must get them both and keep them together! I was thrilled!

They were "in season" and very anxious in the shelter environment, so they hissed a bit and kind of wailed and avoided us. But we "just knew" they were meant to be our's.

Aspen's loving nature came out quickly, but Kenzie would not let us hold her for more than a few seconds at first. I was just happy giving her a safe home - even if she never warmed up to us. At least she would have her sister. However, she soon became delightfully snuggly and loving herself!

(Kenzie:  short for "MacKenzie River")

edit: spelling!

I like how Tinkerbell has her paw around Biffy's neck. What sweetness!

I love knowing that other people also get to experience such warm fuzzies and laughter from their pets too!

Hi LadyCelt,

Your link didn't work, as it has a comma in it, so I backspaced in the address bar to make it work.  But here it is without the comma, for anyone else who wants to click your link:

Thanks, Dry! I didn't realize I'd done that.

Dachshunds... yes, the light of my life - and the bane of my existence.  :D

Paganbaby and Leilani, cute kitties!!  I like cats, but the dachshunds would harass the bejeebers out of it if I brought one home. I have a soft spot for calicos, as I used to have one a long time ago. :)

Here are my two:

Kiara, the one with the dark face, and Siofra, who is half light, half dark - hence her name (I got told that Siofra means Changeling...)
