William R. Mistele

Postby Arth Seren » 15 Aug 2007, 01:48

Hi there all,

I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get a copy of William R. Mistele's Sylphs, Undines, Gnomes and Salamanders.

I'm really enjoying reading the bits I have found but would like to read it altogether.

Blessings

I guess your best bet would be to "google" it and see what comes up.

Alternatively you might put up a "wanted" type notice on eBay as well as Amazon.

I'm sorry I am not of more help.

This

http://www.hermeticresearch.org/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=29

is an interview with William R. Mistele. It contains a very positive reference to his study of OBOD druidry and meeting with Phillip Carr-Gomm

peace and health,

David,

Thank you for this link, I'll read that before reading the other link right through so I can get a perspective of him.

Thanks again

lol this reminds me of an old game i used to play, and still love. It was called Secret of Mana and you could summon elemental spirits to help you (Undine, Gnome, Salamander(Salmando), Sylph, Luna, Dryad, Shade, etc.

very nice read tho!
Out of the night that covers me, Black as the pit from pole to pole
I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance, I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears, Looms but the Horror of the shade
And yet the menace of the years Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll
I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.

I finally came out with a book just on the undines/mermaids.
But some of my material for the book and my next book on mermaid women is at http://www.lava.net/~pagios/videopoems.html
Working with a publisher and staff forces me to distill the material and condense it down into a user friendly book.
But the on-going research on mermaids has gone in directions I could never have imagined when I began it.

I had found this thread while looking for information on the book, having come across an extract in the Gwersi. To update, Amazon has the book as being republished in October this year. :D
