ProSilver phpBB theme?

Question for The Powers That Be;

I was wondering if the ProSilver theme/style (or similar) will be made available, by chance? I've been getting used to it and rather prefer the layout.

I'd gotten used to the green one xD

They would have to be all new themes now, I don't thinks the themes would make a transition to the new board as there are a load of different bits here and there for the skin to have to consider.

Actually, "ProSilver" is the name of the default style that comes with the new release of phpBB that they upgraded to over the weekend. I've been using it on a couple of other boards and like the layout.

Though, I'd been using the green theme before, too.

I waited to install the multiple ranks mod into Prosilver until I was sure it work OK in subSilver. I should have done so the other way around

Once we all become familiar with the new software and probably after the final 3.0 comes out I will start looking for other styles that are compatible. I am working on creating a green style based on subSilver ( you can see an example in http://saveourtrees.info - based on Prosilver) which is a lot easier than it used to be, except for recolorizing the image-sets.

I would really like to create an OBOD style - using symbols from the order and earth colors. If any creative designers have ideas about 3D icons etc please feel free to submit them

Modding the board will depend on a number of variables. I would rather not do it until the final version is out. I did not really want to add the multiple ranks mod, but all my limbs were being twisted so far.... I am surprised it works, because I had to make some guesses as to where to put code, as the current version was not written for RC5. But then that is how one learns how all the software parts work together.

Yes, I agree that waiting until we see a final version of phpBB 3 before looking at too many other mods and styles is probably a wise thing. There's quite a good chance that some would break when it finally went 'gold' anyway.

I know SubSilver is more 'traditional' but it lacks a few useful features by default (for example, on the main board index, with ProSilver you can tell which sub-forums have unread messages).

If no graphics whizzes more talented than I come along then I'd be happy to try and hammer out some image sets as time allows. It would be good to see a rough version of the style first, though, and to discuss ideas for the images instead of flying blind.

Mainly because I know subSilver and have green colorized icons already which are mostly the same as in subSilver2. Perhaps not the best reason. Probably I would work on both together.

Bill Worthington did the art and I iconized and optimized the graphics. The latter are one of my fortes, though I cannot draw a stright line with a ruler
