Can't be bothered going into it. It's not serious, really. No really. :-) Just had a phone call from an idiot. :-) A total numpty! :-) You know when someone just makes you go...

Aaaaarrrrrggggggghhhhhhhhh!

Ok, that's that off my wonderful and ample chest. Thank you for listening.

Yes, that is what I thought. Somehow, that might be true in Edinburgh, where they actually sell tickets now for people to walk the streets, but it certainly was dead quiet in Dundee. I could not get tickets for Edinburgh, so we thought some celebrations might be happening in Dundee, but there was zilch. I talked to my coworkers this morning and heard there was usually nothing on, as someone put it "Celebrating has only started to catch on". Seems I have to resign myself to either going to Edinburgh or having a quiet night in....

Sorry to hear that there was a numbwit on the phone, MamaB. I usually start a shouting session after such a call and throw cushions at the wall.

Here is something funny for a change:

Two cows were talking in the field one day.

First Cow: "Have you heard about the Mad Cow disease that's going around?"

Second Cow: "Yeah, makes you glad you're a penguin, doesn't it?"

Ade, you are a killer. Mega.

Here's one my 12 year old son just told me. [Will those of a nervous disposition please look away now.]

Why did the baker have brown fingers?
Because he needed a poo.

Kids, eh?

Merlyn, I thought your post was funny, that's all.

Now THAT would be VERY much appreciated. Who knows, by next New Year I might have a place of my own, complete with Internet, and might not be so cut off

Artist Pablo Picasso surprised a burglar at work in his new chateau. The intruder got away, but Picasso told the police he could do a rough sketch of what he looked like. On the basis of his drawing, the police arrested a penguin, a washing machine, and the Eiffel tower.
