For PIXIE.
This is one post I'm sad to write.

At 11.00 A.M today our dear girl was put to sleep . She had been ill for so long , and fought so bravely . I have never known a Dog with so much willpower and spirit . However it all became too much and last night was so bad in the end I had to make a choice . I wish she could have died here at home , but it wasn't to be . I feel really bad about it .

She was a beautiful Border Collie aged 14 years , and had so many adventures , was so clever and full of life . So many people loved her . It is so hard to write this . Anyway .

I'm so sorry that you have lost such a dear friend.

I wish there was something I could say to make things easier for you. Don't beat yourself up because she wasn't at home when she died. It must have been painless and quicker for her the way it was. She knows you love her. You couldn't have made your decision if you did not truly have her best interests at heart.
